The Lysefjord is one of the world`s most impressive fjords. The best way to experience the fjord is by boat where local guides tell the tales of the fjord. Choose between the following tour options:
FROM SIRDAL (perioden 25.06-28.08)
Tour 1: Cruise on the Lysefjorden –the Pulpit Rock Return
Depature: by buss from Kvæven Information Centre at 9:50 am, stop at “Øygardstøl”/the Eagle Nest Restaurant (15 min), and departure by ferry from Lysebotn at 12 pm. Cruise to Lauvvik return (5,5 hrs). Arrival in Lysebotn at 5:30 pm, buss back to Sirdal. Arrival in Kvæven at 7 pm.

Tour 2: Hike to Kjerag
Departure: by bus form Kvæven Information Centre at 9:50 am. The bus arrives at “Øygardstøl”/the Eagle Nest Restaurant at 10:45 am. Follow the marked trail to Kjerag from here (5 hrs return). Return by buss from ”Øygardstøl” at 6 pm. Arrival in Kvæven at 7 pm.

The ferry stops at Sognesand and Flørli when prebooked.
The cruise on the Lysefjord is a trip not to miss when visiting the region. The Lysefjord is 42 km long, and filled with attractions. Guiding is offered in several languages, and you will have lots of opportunities to take pictures. Onboard there is a kiosk, where you can buy food and beverages. If you are lucky you might spot basejumpers jumping of the Kjerag platau in their parachutes.

Duration: approx. 8 hours
Departures: by bus from Stavanger (Fiskepirterminalen) at 8 am and 2 pm. Dep. Sandnes at 8:20 am and 14:20 pm. Stops at Byrkjedalstunet and Øygardstøl. Cruise with the touristferry from Lysebotn to Stavanger.

Tour 3: Cruise to the Pulpit Rock
Season: daily in the period 29.05-31.08
Saturdays in the period 02.03-28.5 and 03.09-29.10
Duration: 3 hours
Departure: Stavanger (Fiskepirterminalen) at 1200 (noon). Cruise to the Pulpit Rock, full sightseeing program inc. Stops at the Lysefjord Visitor Centre at Oanes.

Departure by bus from Øygardstøl to Lysebotn. Ferry from Lysebotn to Lauvvik (on the Lysefjord). Bus from Lauvvik to Sandnes/Stavanger.
